Wabi-Sabi kitchen of the restaurant

Zen of project

The design project of the restaurant was developed in the wabi-sabi style, which implies the use of environmentally friendly materials and a calming color palette. The kitchen design echoes the design of whole restaurant. The building has partially retained the old shell finishing, which the author of the project decided to keep and combine with porcelain stoneware from the Terra collection (flooring).

Implementation

To maintain the style, Yana used porcelain stoneware from the Daintree collection — perfect imitation of  natural wood. The material accentuated the stone flooring and staircase. The first step of the backlit staircase is faced with porcelain stoneware and is designed to be larger than the others. It seems to invite guests to the second floor of the restaurant. The walls of the kitchen area are also finished in Daintree 'wood'.

The main idea of the interior was to create a space that would bring people closer to nature and present the beauty of eco-friendly materials. The project is currently being realized.
